Zakopane - Tatra Mountains
Duration: 8 hoursThe city is visited by over 3 million visitors each year. The beauty of the Tatras has been protected for almost 45 years since the Tatra National Park was established. There are over 300 km of ramblers’ routes and trails in this National Park which enables the visitor to see its collection of unique fauna and flora, caves, potholes and waterfalls. It is a place where mountain folklore is lived and nurtured, with many gems of typical wooden architecture. The highlanders kept many old traditions as the dialect, the colorful clothes, original music and handcraft are still very much alive. Krupowki – the most popular street is a busy market with clothing, wooden items, and food, with numerous restaurants and cafes. After a pleasant walk down the street, there is a cable car ride to the top of Gubalowka Mt., from which there are extraordinary panoramic wievs of the Tatras . The unspoilt nature here is breathtaking, but so much more. There are also many sporting facilities available in Zakopane: hiking, rock climbing, cave exploration, cycling, paragliding, winter skiing to name.
