Programme 5 Days / 4 Nights

Day 1 Krakow
Arrival to Krakow. Transfer from the Airport to your Hotel, check in time. Welcome dinner by the live folklore music & overnight stay.

Day 2 Krakow - Wieliczka
After breakfast, Sightseeing tour of Krakow with Jewish quarter Kazimierz, Wawel Hill to see The Wawel Cathedral and Royal Castle, the Royal Route via Grodzka Street to the Old Town, the Jagiellonian University: Collegium Maius and Collegium Novum, Main Market Square -the largest of city squares in Europe, the magnificent Gothic St.Mary’s Basilica, with its famous Medieval wooden altar sculptured by Vitt Stwosz as well as Sukiennince, a 100 meters long Cloth market, now hosting stalls with crafts. Next the Floryan Gate & Old City Walls, Barbican and Matejki Sq. on the end. Lunch in Restaurant located in the Old Town. Afternoon – excursion to Wieliczka Salt mine, Wieliczka is famous for having one of the oldest operational salt mine in Europe which has been working for over 700 years, which was entered on the UNESCO World Cultural Heritage List in 1978. It is an underground labyrinth that stretches over 200 kilometres of tunnels we discover a mysterious and unique underground city housing chapels with amazing salt sculptures and bas-reliefs, massive high-ceiling caverns, dark-watered lakes and the breathtaking Chapel of St. Kinga - carved out of a huge block of salt . Return to Krakow, dinner & overnight stay.

Day 3 Wadowice-Kalwaria ~ or ~ Zakopane Tatra Mountains
Breakfast, departure for one of proposed below excursions.
Kalwaria Zebrzydowska – Wadowice (4h), we start with Kalwaria, it is one of the most often visited pilgrimage places in Poland, listed on UNESCO’s World Heritage Site.Afterwords we drive to Wadowice - the birth place of The Pope John Paul II. This small town has attracted many thousands of pilgrims since John Paul II became the Pope in 1978. First we come to visit the family house of Karol Wojtyla which is a museum devoted to his life and work. Zakopane – Tatra Mountains (8h)is situated in a charming mountain valley at the foot of the Polish Tatras , it’s the biggest center of skiing and mountain tourism in Poland but on the other hand it is a place where mountain folklore is lived and nurtured, with many gems of typical wooden architecture. Will have a nice walk down the street Krupowki, where is a cable car ride up to the Gubalowka Mt., from which there are extraordinary panoramic views of the Tatras . Lunch in typical Highlander’s Restaurant “Karczma” . Return to Krakow. Dinner & overnight stay.

Day 4 Auchwitz - Birkenau
Breakfast, excursion to Oswiecim. Guided visit to the Museum Auschwitz-Birkenau, the largest Nazi concentration camp formed from an army barracks during the II World War. Government established this as a National Museum in 1947. The Museum remains a place sacred to the memory of the tens of thousands of Jews, Poles and other nationalities who suffered and died here. Lunch in Restaurant Art Deco in Oswiecim. Return to Krakow in late afternoon, leisure time. Farewell dinner by concert of Jewish music at Klezmer Hois Restaurant and overnight stay.


Day 5 Krakow
After breakfast, departure transfer to the Airport Balice.
